Rex Burington, LMFT
At Liminal Stream Therapy, loyal to the approaches of his integral philosophy training, Rex Burington, MFT works with the whole person – body, heart, mind and spirit. Rex weaves together relational, eastern mindfulness, trauma focused, transpersonal, systemic and Gestalt approaches into a client centered tapestry to facilitate exploration, understanding and release of stuck patterns, behaviors and energies.
Rex received his MA in Integral Counseling from the California Institute of Integral Studies (CIIS). Later training focused in the areas of trauma in adults and children, Internal Family Systems Techniques, Gestalt therapy and county severe mental health. He holds a national credential in child and adolescent trauma therapy (Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy). He is also an IFSI designated IFS-therapist working toward full certification in Internal Family Systems Therapy (IFS). A strong personal affinity toward systems work with couples and families also inspires Rex. Rex is multi-cultural and bilingual serving both English and Spanish speaking populations.
